SkipperSoft builds simple, easy to use web-based software that helps independent charter boat captains improve their workflow to help them save time and make more money.

Our company was founded by Ty and Jay Bodager, two brothers that are lifelong boaters and fisherman on the great lakes.  Their father owned two charter boats, the Watanna a 50 ft head boat and the Reel Pleasure a 27 foot Sportcraft.

Ty is a software engineer that has over 15 years experience building custom software applications for companies of all sizes. Ty holds a bachelors degree in Information Systems from Ohio University, an MBA from Cleveland State University and multiple industry certifications.

Jay grew up around the charter boat/guide industry, is a licensed USCG Master 100 Ton captain, is active in great lakes charter captain associations and holds a bachelors degree from Tiffin University.
